October means the beginning of citrus season in Mediterranean countries. Citrus are among the most export-oriented fresh products, in a quickly evolving global market. This is a challenging environment both for producers and packers, which must quickly adapt their activity to the demanding markets quite often thousands of miles away.
The innovative laser-cut “pitufo” box (300x200x99mm) was introduced full scale last season, after years of trials, with very good acceptation from packers and final customers. The “no staples - no glue” pitufo is easily identifiable in most markets in Spain and increasingly in other countries, such as France, Italy and Greece.
This season ObeikanMDF will introduce some new formats such as 40x30 and 50x30 in different heights, as requested by customers. These formats have been successfully validated in summer fruits and are a sure bet for quality brands willing to make a difference in presentation.
