MDF - Medium Density Fibreboard

MDF is an abbreviation of Medium-Density Fibreboard.  MDF is a product derived from wood whose production is make using wood fibres combined with a resin.  There are various types of MDF, depending on the type of wood and resin applied.  The MDF boards are produced in a process of pressure and heat.

The type of MDF utilized by Obeikan MDF uses wood that comes for the unusable parts of trees.  This means that the Obeikan products are made exclusively from renewable materials that would have been waste materials if not used by these boxes.

To ensure that the MDF is biodegradable, animal collagen is used.

Because the boxes are used to pack fruit, the cleanliness of the boxes needs to be maintained at the highest level.  To avoid any problem with dust, the process of cutting the MDF boards is done with the latest generation lasers.  Using lasers also has the advantage that the cuts are sealed in the act and the pieces have greater resistance to humidity.
